Oakdale Community Bikes is presently closed for the winter, except for donations.
Bike Shop Service and Sales: Closed for the season. However, we are still open to receive donations, M-F 10 to 4.
Sometimes on Tuesday and Wednesdays from 10 to 2 there are volunteers in the shop. They will respond to “in person” visits. Probably best to call before a visit – 616-248-2848.
Oakdale Community Bikes is a free, do-it-yourself, volunteer-powered, non-profit community bicycle shop in the Oakdale Neighborhood of Grand Rapids. We provide free work space, tools, and repair coaching to help you maintain access to safe, affordable, sustainable transportation by bicycle. Do-it-yourself does not mean you have to do it alone: our staff and volunteer mechanics are there to put the right tools in your hands and guide you through any repair. We have new and used parts to complete just about any project, many of which are offered on a pay-what-you-can basis. We have a variety of used bikes and new and used accessories for sale, the proceeds from which go directly towards supporting our program and keeping our open shop free! We accept bicycle donations in any condition and have many volunteer opportunities for those looking for a fun, engaging, educational and rewarding volunteer experience.
Oakdale Community Bikes is a program of Oakdale Neighbors.
